East China’s Jiangsu province has issued the Three-Year Action Plan for the Development of the Aerospace Industry from 2023 to 2025 in a bid to accelerate the high-quality development of the aerospace industry. The aerospace industry is a strategic emerging industry in the country and a strategic high ground for competition in the high-end equipment manufacturing industry.
According to the action plan, in the next three years, Jiangsu will focus on the fields of supporting systems and components for large aircraft, aviation engines and key components, aviation materials, airborne systems, navigation equipment, and drones, fully leveraging its comparative advantages and scientifically and reasonably planning the industrial development layout.
At the same time, Jiangsu will continuously improve its industrial innovation system, promote the strengthening and supplementation of the industrial chain, promote breakthroughs in "bottleneck" technology, and accelerate the creation of an internationally competitive aerospace industry clusters.
Jiangsu will establish a working mechanism of provincial and municipal linkage and departmental collaboration so as to support major projects in the aerospace industry to be prioritized in the provincial major project list.
Jiangsu will also increase the support of various provincial special funds for aerospace industry projects, and support the construction of universities such as Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics and Jiangsu Vocational and Technical College of Aeronautics.
By 2025, Jiangsu will record an output value of over 150 billion yuan in the aerospace industry, increase by more than 50 provincial-level or above little giant enterprises, more than 10 various innovation platforms, and more than 10 highly competitive aerospace industry bases.
